What has been your proudest moment as a personal trainer?

There are so many [check out the testimonial tab / image “Read What People Say about me], but the one that comes to mind is when I personal trained a husband and wife who was borderline diabetic, both with high blood pressure, headed on a downward spiral. After with me for five months, I got a call from their physician thanking me for helping them change their lifestyle and improving their physical condition. By the time we were done training, they both came off their blood pressure medication and were no longer borderline diabetic and had tremendous weight loss. That was a great moment for me!

What is your favorite fitness exercise as a personal trainer?

Squats—it’s the mother of all exercises! It literally takes the whole body to perform a squat and it is great for weight loss.

What do you tell clients who need to get inspired?

There are many different ways to motivate people. I try to find out the root causes of why people don’t exercise—weather its laziness, procrastination, lack of time, etc, and I close the door to all of the excuses and I only leave one door open for the possibility of success.

What is the biggest thing that your clients struggle with personal training?

Hands down, its nutrition! Finding the balance between tasteful eating and “good healthy” nutrition. I have to make them realize that making the hard changes upfront will yield timely results, but if you procrastinate you will see very little results or no results. No matter how many hours you put in at the gym, nutrition is the essence of success and must be corrected.
